Lifecycle Audit
Periodic Engineering Audit of the Installed Base
SorbiTech lifecycle audit is the engagement that re assesses an installed adsorber or separation train against its current duty, current operating envelope, and current regulatory regime. The asset was sized when the inlet was X ppm and the outlet was 10 ppm; five years later the inlet is 1.4X ppm and the outlet target has tightened to 5 ppm. The audit determines whether the bed is still fit for purpose, whether a media regrading would close the gap, or whether the vessel must be re sized at the next turnaround.
Audit Deliverables
A typical lifecycle audit covers:
- Current performance versus design (outlet specification, cycle time, regeneration energy)
- Inlet quality drift from design baseline
- Bed depth and adsorbent integrity (sampling and laboratory analysis)
- Internal inspection of distributors, supports, and pressure shell
- Updated process simulation against current duty
- Recommendation: continue, regrade media, modify cycle, or re size at next turnaround
- Cost benefit analysis of each option
Coordinated With Operator Turnaround
The audit fits inside the operator turnaround inspection window with no additional shutdown. SorbiTech aligns the audit deliverables to the operator risk based inspection class and the regulatory consent renewal schedule, so the regulator submission carries the technical justification for any modification proposed. The service is typically scheduled every three to five years for the larger adsorption assets in the oil and gas and petrochemicals and refining sectors.
